Exclusively for his performance at New York's Beacon Theater on February 21st, Raichel has invited a diverse group of special guests to join him on stage at various points in the evening. Cuban rapper Danay Suarez, whose latest Latin GRAMMY nominated album Palabras Manuales featured a duet with Idan, will perform her unique interpretation of Idan's composition, "Closer Now." Palestinianmusician Ali Paris, who previously shared the stage with Idan and pop star Alicia Keys at the Global Citizen festival in 2014, will perform on the qanun, a Middle Eastern stringed instrument. Farzin Dehghan, a renowned musician originally from Iran, will bring the haunting sounds of the kamancheh, a traditional Iranian violin. Yacouba Sissoko, one of Mali's most revered kora players, will also appear at the Beacon Theater concert, as will Indian vocalist Harini S Raghavan. This veritable United Nations assembly of musical talent promises to make this unique concert a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and further cement Idan's role as an ambassador for the power of music to bring people of diverse backgrounds together in a celebration of shared humanity.
After 15 years as leader of The Idan Raichel Project, international music icon Idan Raichel recently began focusing on the basic essence of his songs with the solo piano concert entitled Idan Raichel - Piano - Songs. On his upcoming North American tour, timed to support the release of his new live double concert album of the same name, Raichel will be performing stripped-down concerts that highlight his unique gifts as a song writer and pianist.

"A multi-ethnic tour de force."
