"This project", reveals Rita, "Has burst out of me, and only when I've done recording all of it, I realized how bad I needed it.

The strong connection I own to Persian music since childhood is rooted down in my DNA.

Now when I look at the chosen songs, taken from the great ensemble of Persian music, I understand it has already influenced me all along my career.

This is an adventures album which based on joyful and happiness songs from tat I grew on at home".

Rita was born in Teheran (Iran). By the age of 8 years old, Rita has moved to Israel with her whole family. Not once Rita has mentioned songs and tunes which based on her Persian childhood. According to Rita, her Persian roots have always taken a part of her music career.

"My Joy" album is produced by Ami Reis and Ran Almalich, and includes 11 songs originally created by the greatest Persian artists of all time.
